Product Description
1.Description Name: AISI SAE 4130 LOW ALLOY STEEL PIPE, SAE4140 LOW ALLOY STEEL PIPE, SAE4145H ALLOY STEEL, SAE4145 MOD ALLOY STEEL, SAE4145 ALLOY STEEL, SAE4340 ALLOY STEEL, 8620, 8630 Alloy Steel, 1010, 1020, 1026, 1045, CARBON STEEL.
2.WHAT IS A519 STEEL?
1.This specification covers several grades of carbon and alloy steel seamless mechanical pipe. When welding is used for joining the weldable mechanical tube grades, the welding procedure shall be suitable for the grade, the condition of the components, and the intended service.
2.This specification covers both seamless hot-finished mechanical pipe and seamless cold-finished mechanical pipe in sizes up to and including 12 3⁄4 in. (323.8 mm) outside diameter for round tubes with wall thicknesses as required.
3.The tubes shall be furnished in the following shapes, as specified by the purchaser: round, square, rectangular, and special sections.
4.Supplementary requirements of an optional nature are provided and when desired shall be so stated in the order.
3.Characteristic Features of ASTM A 519 Pipes:
1.Tubes under ASTM A 519 specification can be round, square, rectangular, or spiral, depending on the client's demands.
2.Any pipe claiming to be an ASTM A 519-grade pipe must meet the specification requirements. This entails top-notch finishing devoid of laps, cracks, seams, and other forms of a defect.
3.This specification offers standards for hot finished and cold finished seamless pipes with an Outside Diameter (OD) up to 12 3/4 inches.
4.The steel used under this specification may be cast from ingots or be strand cast.
5.The permissible variation in the squareness tolerance of square/ rectangular pipe is achieved using the formula +/-b = c X 0.006.
6.Square or rectangular pipe under ASTM A 519 specs are allowed a variation of 0.060 within 3 feet of the pipe.
7.Clients can specify the tubes to be coated with rust-resisting oil before shaping. If they so wish, the product can retain this coating well till the shipping process.
8.The Wall Thickness (WT) of ASTM A 519 pipe is between 2mm to 120mm.
9.These pipes/tubes typically have a bevelled or a plain end.
10.Tests like non-destructive quality tests, flaring tests, hardness tests, and tension tests are some examinations conducted to check the tube quality. Aside from these, this piping is also checked for cleanliness and hardenability.

- What's The Difference Between AISI 4145, AISI 4145H And AISI 4145MOD?
- Chromium-Molybdenum high tensile steel has good ductility, shock resistance and wear resistance.AISI 4145, AISI 4145H and AISI 4145MOD are the main type of 4145 Cr-Mo steel.
- AISI 4145 is a chromium molybdenum low alloy steel grade widely used in the oil and gas sectors but with a higher carbon content compared with AISI 4140. Larger diameters AISI 4145 bars are often supplied with higher Molybdenum level, 0.35% max and may be referred to as a "Drill Collar" analysis.
- AISI 4145H is the upgraded type of AISI 4145. AISI 4145H has improved hardenability and is commonly used in the high strength condition with min.110 KSI yield and suitable for downhole drilling tools such as subs, x-overs, drill collars, pup-joints and fishing tools. General engineering applications include components exposed to heavy strain, such as shafts, gear, bolts etc. AISI 4145H can also be used in hardened condition as machine parts exposed to heavy wear.
- AISI 4145MOD is another upgraded type of AISI 4145H. Mod means the modify, that is, the tiny adjustment of chemical constituents of 4145, making steel has better hardenability. Because the inner diameter of many workpieces are less than 200 mm, which need higher performance requirements for the heat treatment, need core performance and meet the requirements, it will need to be improved in order to improve the hardenability. The typical uses of 4145H modified steel are: drilled collars, connecting rods, shafts, gears.
