Honed carbon seamless steel tube is mainly determined by the carbon content in it. According to the amount of carbon content, the honed carbon seamless steel tubes are classified as follows.
Low carbon steel pipe - the carbon content is about less than 0.25%. Oil products, oil gas and public media with design pressure lower than 10MPa
Medium carbon steel pipe - the carbon content is about 0.25 to 0.60%, such as 35, 45 steel, etc.;
High carbon steel pipe - the carbon content is greater than about 0.60%. Such steels are generally not used in the manufacture of steel pipes.
Honed carbon seamless steel tube contains a certain amount of carbon, as well as silicon and manganese. Does not contain other alloying elements. Note that the silicon content generally does not exceed 0.40%. In order to ensure the chemical composition and mechanical properties of honed carbon seamless steel tubes, the content of impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus must be controlled below 0.035%. Only in this way can high-quality steel pipes be produced.
